Mark 1 – British Airways 0

So the day has come to see if flying really can be easy.

Armed with just 1 suitcase that met cabin luggage size restrictions and having checked in online yesterday, I arrived at Heathrow T1 at 6am with the flight due at 7:25am

I collected my pre booked travel money from the Travelex kiosk which did seem to take longer than it should but did go without a hitch.

Security next. I still had to queue for 15 minutes although to be fair that’s the shortest queue I have ever seen in Heathrow and I still had to take my shoes off but again this went without a hitch. Then onto the main shopping centre (or should that be departures lounge) where I was able to marvel at goods priced way above typical high street prices however the coffee was a sensible price.

The plane then left on time and arrived in Barcelona on time. I was able to walk straight past baggage claim (which was an amazing distance from the arrival gate) and out of the airport.

Fantastic.

I am now sat here in my hotel room a little jaded because of the early start but totally stress free. I am going to have to do this again.
